Welcome to Weatherford Cutting Horses, owned and managed by Mark and Joanne Smith. Weatherford is the home of DESTINYS MR CHIC – the best performed cutting son of Acres Destiny (IMP) in Australia. The (symbol) brand is not only a brand of great cutting horses, but also beautiful athletic horses which can excel in any horse sport – including campdrafting, cutting, challenge and polocrosse. Mark and Joanne Smith have been breeding horses for the last 10 years and through an extensive embryo transfer program, have reached an elite genetic pool. Dr Joanne Smith BVSc is the senior equine veterinarian at Weatherford Equine, the large Equine Veterinary Facility located in the irrigation scheme just 4km from Emerald in Central Qld. Their commitment to world class bloodlines and pedigrees is reflected in the embryo program that is embarked on every year. Mark’s ambition is to produce quality genetics, and to train, show & offer them for sale. With both horses here in Australia and in Texas, USA, Mark & Jo are dedicated to producing a top quality product for the discerning horseman.
